Movies-of-the-Month FREE Film Series, A Christmas Story

On Thursday, December 20 at 6:30 p.m., the final fall offering of NCC’s popular Movies-of-the-Month FREE Film Series, A Christmas Story, will be screened in the NCC PepsiCo theater.

This delightful film is based on one of author Jean Shepard’s unforgettable childhood reminiscences. This is the timeless story of young Ralphie, (a perfectly-cast Peter Billingsley), and his tireless quest for that “Holy Grail” of Christmas presents, a Red Ryder BB Gun.

This often hilarious, ironic, politically incorrect, yet warmly sentimental film seems to appeal to just about everybody - even those who profess to hate Christmas movies!
The film features the unforgettable Darren McGavin as young Ralphie’s curmudge only Dad and is narrated by author Jean Shepard himself.

This is a film that needs to be seen and experienced with an audience. Come get in the spirit of the season with us, laughing, remembering, and anticipating all the joys, disappointments, and adventures of holidays past, present, and still-to-come. Families and children are welcome.

Gary Carlson will be your host. For additional information, contact him at gcarlson@ncc.commnet.edu.
