Do you want to coach in Connecticut Public Schools? If so, beginning September 4, Norwalk Community College is offering a three- credit, 12- week course on Tuesdays from 6 – 9:30 p.m. during the fall 2012 semester.

The course will cover the academic portion of the CT State Coaching Permit. All coaching positions, (head, assistant, J.V., freshman and volunteer), require this permit, which is good for five years.

Topics covered in the coaching course include: philosophy, psychology, and the sociology of coaching, sports medical rehab and injury prevention and the legal aspects of sport.
