"Super Men and Wonder Women" is theme of NCC Academic Festival on April 2-3, 2014

Due to overwhelming response, the 2014 Academic Festival will be held on two days, April 2 and 3.

The theme of the 2014 Academic Festival is “Super Men and Wonder Women: What’s Your Superpower?” There is certainly a level of levity and fun in the theme and it is designed to capture the interest of students and the community.

Festival events will emphasize the transformative capabilities inherent in each of us with which we can change our own lives as well as positively impact those around us.

On Wednesday, April 2, the keynote address will be delivered by Marvel’s Bill Rosemann, who has worked on most of the iconic properties in the comics industry, such as Superman, Batman, Spiderman, Ironman and Captain America. He will speak about the superhero as a metaphor and of the many social issues addressed by the industry.

On Thursday, April 3, activities will be anchored by a documentary film screening followed by a Q&A session by members of the film’s creative staff.

Thanks in advance for your enthusiasm and especially your participation in this important event.

A detailed scheduled of events will be available soon.
