The next offering in the Movies-of-the-Month Free Film Series at NCC will be “Lolita” (1962), director Stanley Kubrick’s groundbreaking film version of Vladimir Nabokov’s controversial novel” Lolita” (1960), about an intellectual man and his romance with a teenage girl.
“Lolita” will be shown at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, February 21st, in the East Campus Forum theater.
The screening will begin with a brief lecture by poet and NCC Professor Chris Japely, who will also moderate a post-film discussion.
The film features performances by James Mason, Peter Sellers, and Shelley Winters. See how Kubrick managed to bring this “unfilmable” story to the silver screen.
