Eleven local public libraries, historical societies, and educational institutions have partnered with NCC to plan a series of lectures, concerts, book clubs, and other events around the area to celebrate the arrival of Lincoln: The Constitution and the Civil War.
Visit your local library or explore a nearby town. Enjoy a lecture by a history professor, an authentically costumed living history performance, a children’s book and craft group, or a concert for all ages. With over two dozen events at NCC and around the region, there is something for everyone.
Norwalk Community College was awarded a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities to organize and publicize this regional series of events in honor of the traveling exhibition Lincoln: The Constitution and the Civil War. The series brochure was designed by NCC graduate Jackie Granda and Professor John Alvord. It is available in the NCC library and at public libraries around the region.
