Getting a Library Card

A library card and key tag are issued at the Library's Check-Out Desk. Please come in, fill out an application form and show a photo ID (driver's license, passport, etc.). The first card is free. There is a 1.00 fee for a replacement card. Please bring your library card each time you visit the library.



Loan Periods for Library Materials:

Books 3 weeks
Audiocassettes 3 weeks
DVDs, Videocassettes 1 week
CDs, CD-ROMs 3 weeks
Reference Books NO LOAN
Journals/Newspapers NO LOAN

Library users are more than welcome to use our VCR, DVD,CD, and Audiocassette players.

Patrons may renew the borrowing periods for some materials, provided that there is no pending request for the material from another patron and the materials are not overdue. Renewals can be done in person at the library or by phone. Telephone renewals require that patrons provide their patron barcode, found on the library card, and the barcode of the items to be renewed, found on the inside of the back cover. Sorry, DVDs, Videocassettes, CDs, and CD-ROMs cannot be renewed.

Overdue Materials:

Materials that are kept beyond the borrowing period are subject to overdue fines.

Books

$.05 per day

DVDs, Videocassettes

$1.00 per day – maximum fine up to current replacement costs

Student and guest patrons may not borrow additional items if they have overdue fines outstanding. NCC staff members are not charged overdue fines, however, borrowing privileges will be suspended until overdue materials are returned.
