Do I need an appointment?

No, appointments are not necessary. Just walk in during our open hours, check the bulletin board for  schedules, and sign in when you are ready to work with a tutor.

How much does it cost?

There is no charge for our services for currently enrolled NCC students. 

What services do you offer?

We can help with understanding and reinforcing material, homework assignments, exam preparation, and learning strategies.

Can I get extra credit for coming here?

That depends on your professor; we do provide forms to verify your attendance.

Does the Tutoring Center take the place of missed classes?

No. We will do our best to help you get caught up, but the tutors are prohibited from teaching new material.

Can I bring my children to the Tutoring Center?

In order to maintain a quiet space conducive to learning for all, the Tutoring Center does not allow children to accompany students in the tutoring center.  Only NCC students may use the Tutoring Center to conduct academic work.

Can I bring my lunch?

Sorry, but we're committed to maintaining a clean and distraction-free academic environment.  Please do not bring food into the Tutoring Center.   Beverages in closed containaers are fine, though!
