REFUND POLICY GENERAL AND EXTENSION FUNDS

In order to offer a complete program of studies it is necessary for the College to contract and incur certain costs. Even if a student withdraws, college service, student activity and application fees are non-refundable.

 

ALL REQUESTS FOR REFUNDS MUST BE MADE IN WRITING TO THE RECORDS OFFICE ROOM EAST 102

 

1. GENERAL FUND - Fall and Spring Semester Credit Courses

For notice of withdrawal received prior to the first day of the term a refund of 100 percent of tuition (including lab and studio fees) will be granted. Registration fees are non-refundable.


For notice of withdrawal received on the first day of the term and through the fourteenth calendar day of the full semester a refund of 50 percent of tuition (including lab and studio fees) will be granted. Registration fees are non-refundable. For shorter parts of term the refund is pro-rated according to the number of weeks of the term.


For a reduction in load which occurs on the first day of the full semester and through the fourteenth calendar day of that semester 50 percent of the difference of the tuition applicable to the original and revised course schedule will be refunded. The difference in the amount of registration fees is not refunded. For shorter parts of term the refund is pro-rated according to the number of weeks of the term.


NO REFUND OF TUITION OR FEES WILL BE GRANTED FOR EITHER FULL OR PART-TIME STUDENTS BEYOND THE 14TH CALENDAR DAY AFTER THE FIRST DAY OF THE SEMESTER OR ACCORDING TO THE PRO-RATED TERM.

Note: Refund for charge card transactions are processed in the same manner as cash or check transactions.


Exceptions to the above policy may be made for the following extenuating or extraordinary circumstances: severe illness, call to active military duty, or erroneous advisement. Documented evidence is required to support the request for exceptions to the policy.

 

 

2. EXTENSION FUND - Summer Session Credit Courses

SUMMER 2014 REFUND DEADLINES

For notice of withdrawal received by the last business day prior to the first day of the term a refund of 100 percent of tuition (including lab and studio fees) will be granted. Registration fees are non-refundable.


NO REFUND OF TUITION OR FEES WILL BE GRANTED FOR WITHDRAWAL FROM EXTENSION FUND SUMMER SESSION CREDIT COURSES ON OR AFTER THE FIRST DAY OF EACH SEMESTER SESSION OR TERM.


For Extension Fund Summer Session Credit Courses exceptions to the above policy may be made for the following extenuating or extraordinary circumstances: severe illness, call to active military duty, or erroneous advisement. Documented evidence is required to support the request for exceptions to the policy.

 

 

3. EXTENSION FUND - Non-Credit Courses

For notice of withdrawal received by the last business day prior to the start of the class a refund of 100 percent of course fees will be granted.


NO REFUND WILL BE GRANTED FOR WITHDRAWAL FROM EXTENSION FUND NON-CREDIT COURSES ON OR AFTER THE FIRST DAY OF EACH CLASS. Exceptions may be made for extenuating circumstances as stipulated in policy section 2 and approved by Fund administrators.


 

 

4. ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE AND STUDENT RECORDS - GENERAL AND EXTENSION FUNDED COURSES

For registrations withdrawn effective after the start of classes, either because the student has officially dropped the course or has failed to pay, any incurred accounts receivable remains on the student's record and the College takes reasonable measures to collect the amounts due. The College will not issue the student's official academic records and will not allow the student to register for future semesters or terms until such receivable is paid in full.

 

 

5. COURSE CANCELLATION POLICY

For any course that is cancelled by the College the tuition and fees for that course are refundable.
