Mission Statement
The NCC Wellness Center is a state-of-the-art fitness facility that is committed to improving the general well being of all patrons.  We encourage safe and effective exercise in an effort to improve one's quality of life.

Services
Locker Rooms
Locker registration is available for all patrons during hours of operations.  Both the men's and women's locker rooms are equipped with shower facilities.  Towels and locks are not provided and it is asked that patrons supply their own.

Equipment Orientation
This service is recommended for those that have little experience using fitness equipment.  A trained staff member will introduce you to our cardio and resistance equipment and review the proper use of it.  Appropriate form and technique will also be taught.

Fitness Assessment
This service entails the administration of physical testing to assess one's cardiovascular and muscular fitness as well as flexibility.  Once data is collected an individual's strengths and weaknesses can be identified as compared to normative data.  With individualized assessment, an exercise protocol can be designed for your specific needs.  All tests are safe and administered by certified professionals.

Exercise Prescription
A safe and effective exercise protocol will be designed for you in order to obtain the maximal benefits of exercise.  All patrons must complete a Fitness Assessment to receive this service.  Once completed the individual will have three training sessions with an Exercise Science Student or Wellness Staff member to ensure that the protocol is understood and used appropriately.

Body Composition
This non-invasive, private screening includes skin fold measurements that can determine one's body fat percentage.  The results of this test can assist with the prescription of weight loss.

Registration
The Wellness Center is free for all NCC faculty, staff, students, and Lifetime Learners

You must have an affiliation with the college in order to use our facilities.  At this time we do not offer community memberships.

Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q)
All first time members will be asked to complete a medical questionnaire for our records.  It is asked that this form is honestly and completely filled out.  These forms will be filed and kept confidential.

The PAR-Q can be downloaded from this site.  Please click on Rules and Regulations of Wellness Department.

NCC ID Cards
All patrons must present a valid NCC identification card upon entry of the facility.  ID cards are available at the Baker Library on the East Campus during hours of operation:
