About the Fairfield County Women's Center

The Fairfield County Women's Center (FCWC), located on the west campus of Norwalk Community College, Room 116, invites you to participate in our varied programs and activities offered throughout the academic year.

The Fairfield County Women's Center promotes the advancement of women through educational programs and resources while increasing awareness of women's issues in the community, workplace and home. FCWC is a welcoming and comfortable gathering place to explore social issues and develop greater self-awareness. The goals are designed to foster a supportive environment that encourages empowerment, equity and self-actualization.

FCWC hosts Classroom Connections, providing classroom speakers to present on women's perspectives coordinated with class curricula.

FCWC offers free walk-in information sessions on job readiness, credit information, safe sex, dating and personal relationships.

FCWC provides information on and referrals to most human services agencies in Fairfield County.

Workshops, documentary films and performances are sponsored by The Center throughout the academic year.

The Women's Club invites on-going student participation and open dialogue.

Volunteer Opportunities are also available.
