Academic Advising

Your academic success is very important to us at NCC.  Therefore, you will be assigned to an advisor or counselor based on your area of study.

If you are enrolled in a Degree or Certificate Program, your advisor will be the director of the program in which you have enrolled.  See "Advisor Directory" in Quicklinks to locate your Academic Advisor.

If you are a non-degree major, contact the Department of Counseling and a counselor who best understands your particular needs and goals will assist you.  Your counselor will help you to formulate an educational plan and assist you with questions about courses needed to fulfill your degree or certificate requirements, registration, and assist with other needs that may arise.

Schedule an appointment with your academic advisor or counselor early in your academic career at NCC. Your Academic Advisor and Counselor will help you achieve your goals, and is a part role in your success. He or she will help you set intermediate and longer term objectives to help you fulfill your required curriculum of studies. Make sure to schedule regular appointments with your advisor or counselor to review your progress and to reassess your goals will help get the most of your NCC experience.
