Resume Coaching

Here's how Co-op helps you every step of the way as you prepare for, choose and complete your internship. As you apply to Co-op, workshops and one-on-one sessions help with:

• Resume writing
• Interview skills
• Goal setting
• On-line internship search

Once you've chosen which internships to apply for, your advisor:

• Encourages employers to schedule interviews promptly
• Pitches your strengths
• Helps to establish a rate of pay

If you receive an offer, your Co-op advisor helps you to review pros and cons before accepting or rejecting the offer. Unfortunately, applying to Co-op does not guarantee a job offer. If you don't receive an offer, your tuition is refunded and the course is erased from your transcript.

Once your internship begins:

• Your faculty advisor, work supervisor and you meet at the job site to review your job responsibilities and learning plan.
• You may contact your advisor with questions or concerns anytime
• You are required to contact your advisor if a problem arises on the job
• And you will receive more help in the Co-op Seminar.
