     Patrick Boland has been Director of Placement Services for the past 25 years and Chairman of the Credit for Life Experience Committee for the past 10 years. His specialties include:

  •  Liaison with employment community to develop intern opportunities for students, and employment opportunities for graduates and alumni.
  • Assist individuals to develop skills required for initial entry, re-entry and/or upgrading within the job market.
  • Counsel students regarding possible career paths and academic programs.
  • Chair of Credits for Life Experience portfolio review committee.

    Erik Rambusch has written books on the subjects of job search. His experience includes human resources assignments with major corporations and his own career services consulting firm. His specialties include:

  •  Identification of possible career tracks that align with an individual’s interests and values.
  • Assistance with employment market research.
  • Identification of value proposition and marketing niche; preparation of marketing material including resume.
  • Prepares candidates to sell themselves in a job interview.
  • Support during implementation of job search campaign.

Healthcare Academic Advisor


    Lauren Broggy is a Master's Degree level Counselor with certification in Adult Education Assessment and Advisement.  She has 20 years of experience in academic and career counseling.  Her specialties include:

  • Liaison with the Southwestern Connecticut Health Career Academy; an agency which provides tuition assisstance and other support to help individuals begin a career in the healthcare field.
  • Provide academic and career counseling/advisement to students enrolled in the Health Career Academy.
  • Assist students with course selection and assure thier awareness of program requirements specific to their selected Nursing and Allied Health major.
  • Assist Students with resume writing and interviewing/networking skills.
  • Expertise in formal career assessment and placement.

  Internship Program Manager


     Meredith Lowe has been on campus speaking and instructing on a variety of job search topics, for example, "How to use LinkedIn and Social Media in your job search" and "Winning Interviews."  Meredith brings 15+ years of career management and Human Resource experience to the team and she has served as a member and leader for a broad range of HR Professional associations.  Her specialties include:

  • Manages all aspects of the internship program identifying internship opportunities and assisting students in securing positions.
  • Mentors and coaches students in preparation for in person interviews; provides input for resume and cover letter preperation.
  • Instructs and advises students regarding the use of social media in the job search process with particular focus on LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest
  • Presents on career topics for departments, individual classes, and Pathways for Career Success
