Password Protection
It has come to the attention of the IT Department that
there are some faculty members who are sharing their NetID accounts with their
students. It is a breach of the CT Community College IT security policy to do
this, as well as jeopardizing your privacy. If you share this information to
expedite the log on of your students to NCC computers, any student with
malicious intent will have access to your NCC computer account which includes
your NCC e-mail account.
Do not share this information with your students. If they need to reset
there computer account passwords please have them use the Password Reset Kiosks
located in the East Campus near Admissions and the West Campus in the CIT’s
first and second floor and outside the Academic Center. The IT Department is in
the process of adding additional Kiosk locations. Written NetID reset password
instructions and the IT CCC Acceptable Use Policy can be found under the
Policies submenu. If you have any
questions regarding computer login procedures, please call the IT Helpdesk (ext
6800).
