PHOTO COLLAGES, an installation by Rashmi Talpade opens at the NCC West Campus Community Gallery on Wednesday, November 11, 2009. Talpade, whose primary medium is photography, creates work that “rests between two worlds that could not be further apart from each other. The content of my work lies in Bombay, India where I was born and raised, and America where I now reside. My photomontages speak about history, humanity, and our place in it.” Each photomontage utilizes forty to a few hundred separate photographic images to create something intriguing at every glance. Gallery talks with the artist will be held on Wednesday, November 16 at 10:45 am and 12:30 pm. The show closes January 15, 2010.
